The MetLife building is officially undergoing their seemingly annual tank. This year, fans of New York Football did not even have to wait till Thanksgiving to watch this season's tank.

The good -- the Giants have a quarterback. Jaxson Dart has flashed brilliance in his rookie season, before getting injured in Chicago.

The Giants also seem to have a good core of young offensive playmakers in WR Malik Nabers and RB Cam Skattebo. Currently, Both players are on IR with different lower body injuries.

The bad -- The Giants need a whole new coaching staff. After the fourth quarter collapse and loss to the Bears and Dart's injury on top of everything, the Giants made a change at head coach, firing Brian Daboll. While nothing changed following the firing of Daboll, Mike Kafka has shown some promise and poise as head coach. After yet another fourth quarter collapse, Kafka made the decision to fire defensive coordinator Shane Bowen, the right decision.

The Giants currently have Joe Schoen leading the search for a new head coach. If the Giants want to fix the mess that is their organization, it's time to move on from Schoen as well, and start from scratch. While some of his top picks, like Dart (which was more on Daboll than Schoen) have panned out, his number 3 overall in the 2025 draft, Abdul Carter, has been a bust thus far. Carter has been a mess both on field, where he still has not recorded a full sack, but also has an off field issue with attitude and maturity.

Also, can the Giants get a kicker in the building this offseason?

The Giants head coaching job will be one of the more coveted jobs in football. It would be more covetable if Schoen was not the GM.

New York Jets

After Sunday's loss to the Ravens, the Jets (stands for Just End The Season) has clinched their 10th consecutive losing season.

The good -- Aaron Glenn is a leader of men. Glenn stepped into a situation defined by pure dysfunction and instability. Still, he managed to bring accountability, structure, and professionalism to a locker room that desperately needed direction. Although the win-loss record doesn’t fully reflect the progress, the Jets have shown real flashes of promise under his guidance and have remained disciplined despite constant adversity.

Glenn and his coaching staff are not the core issue holding the Jets back—but that doesn’t make them flawless. There are still areas to refine, and growth is needed across the board. However, the foundation Glenn has built provides stability the franchise has lacked for years.

The Jets also seem to have a good GM in Darren Mougey. Mougey executed an excellent trade deadline, dealing players like Sauce Gardner for draft capital. The one remaining thing -- Mougey needs

The bad -- The Jets don’t have a quarterback, and they need to draft one. After years of cycling through stopgaps, reclamation projects, and short-term fixes, New York must finally invest real capital into the most important position on the field. With Aaron Glenn establishing a new culture and foundational identity, pairing that with a young franchise quarterback is essential.

Fortunately for the Jets, the 2026 NFL Draft offers several intriguing quarterback options:

  • Conner Weigman, Texas A&M – A poised, accurate passer with strong pocket awareness and high-level processing. Weigman brings much-needed stability and reliability to an offense craving consistency.

  • Evan Stewart, Colorado – A dynamic dual-threat with explosive arm talent and mobility. Stewart offers modern, creative upside and can elevate an offense with both his legs and his arm.

  • Nico Iamaleava, Tennessee – A former five-star with elite physical traits—size, arm strength, and athleticism. Iamaleava is raw but carries true franchise-quarterback ceiling if developed properly.

  • Dante Moore, Oregon State – A smooth, efficient operator with natural throwing ability and leadership qualities. Moore gives the Jets a high-floor, pro-ready option who can start sooner than most.

  • Jackson Arnold, Oklahoma – Competitive, smart, and decisive. Arnold’s processing and touch make him a strong fit for a balanced, timing-based offense.

  • FernandoMendoza, Indaina – One of the fastest risers in the 2026 class, Mendoza blends arm strength, creativity outside the pocket, and impressive poise in late-game situations. His upside as a developmental quarterback makes him an intriguing swing for a team like the Jets seeking long-term stability.

With all their new draft capital, sources indicated that the Jets might be willing to trade for first overall to make sure they get their guy.

No matter which direction they choose, the Jets can’t afford another year of uncertainty under center. They need to commit to a young quarterback who can grow with Glenn and finally anchor the franchise’s future.
