Rays acquire Brian Baker from the Orioles

BOSTON -- An inter-division trade took place this morning as the Orioles sale has officially begun. Reliever Brian Baker was traded today to the Rays.

Baker has been a solid option out of the bullpen for the Orioles and with the way the Rays develop e pitching, the rest of the MLB should watch out.

The Rays will receive the O's 2025 competitive-balance pick (No. 37). With this new pick, the Orioles now have the most bonus pool money in the MLB, with $19,144,500. The focus for the O's seems to be back on drafting and developing.
