QUEENS, NY -- Friday November 21st is MLB's non-tender deadline, where teams can decide weather to keep players on arbitration eligible deals, or non-tender them and send players onto free agency.
Danny Young
The Athletic reported on Thursday that the Mets will be non-tendering reliever Danny Young. Young had Tommy John surgery in early May, and will not be ready to begin the 2025 season. Young has began his rehab on his return back to the field and will be an intriguing option for a team looking for bullpen depth.
Max Kranick
Another injury-prone reliever being released by the Mets. The Athletic reported on Friday that reliever Max Kranick will be non-tendered by the Mets. Kranick underwent surgery on a flexor tendon over the summer and is a question to be ready to begin the season. In 37 innings in 2025, Kranick posted a 3.65 ERA.
