Marcus Stroman made his second rehab start in Double-A Somerset, and it might be time to explore…

SOMERSET — Marcus Stroman is continuing his rehab with the Somerset Patriots and made the start today, and the results are not what you want.

I did not expect much out of Stroman coming out of this rehab assignment, but this is definitely a concern for the Yankees givin how Winans started this past turn against the Reds and the fact that Yarbrough will be out for a bit.

Marcus Stroman has also not had eye-opening results through his whole rehab so far:

The Yankees were planning to focus on bullpen and a righty infield bat at the deadline, but they might need to explore a mid-tear starter because as the Yankees, or any contending team, goes down the stretch of a season, they are going to need strong pitching to keep them in games.

The Yankees can’t afford to pitch Marcus Stroman in important games or it might end up looking like this:
