EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ -- While the Giants did not practice today due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the team announced that quarterback Jaxson Dart cleared concussion protocol and is likely to start against the Patriots on 'Monday Night Football'.

Dart was injured in Chicago back in Week 10 when he took a blow to the head on a fumble on the ground. The fumble lead to an eventual Giants loss.

Dart's injury and the team's handling lead to the dismissal of Brian Daboll. The offensive game plan around Dart will likely change this week, in a prime time matchup. Dart is really good at making plays with his legs, specifically getting out of pressure. The Giants might deploy more plays involving the passing game, not just the running game.

This will be Dart's first game playing under Mike Kafka. Jameis Winston should continue to serve as quarterback two, with Russell Wilson being largely ineffective in his playing time this season.

Dart being on the field makes the Giants a much better team, but the offense has not been the issue. The offensive line has been scoring, and Dart's play should only help that, but the defense will be the story this week.

Playing one of the top teams in the NFL this week will be a test for the rookie and the Giants offense. The Giants offense has excelled so far facing the top teams, putting up enough points, and even winning games, against the Eagles, Broncos and Chargers.
