NEW YORK — After their premature ALDS exit at the hands of the Toronto Blue Jays, the Yankees are making some coaching changes.

The first change is not bringing back first base and infield coach Travis Chapman. Chapman has been with the Yankees since 2021. The move is not as shocking after come conflict with manager Aaron Boone during the season, as well as the Yankees infields continuous defensive issues.

The more shocking is the mutual parting of long time bullpen coach Mike Harkey. Harkey has been in New York on and off since 2008, being the last remaining coach from the 2009 championship club.

Sources indicate that more moves to the Yankees coaching staff could be coming.
